Online, after school
A tutor near you in Doha
Parents who type a tutor near me in Doha are usually between the school run and the evening, and they want the chapter taught in English without another car journey.
The courses that arrive from Doha
Doha families send British-curriculum books, IB subject outlines, and CBSE textbooks. We treat those as different courses. An IGCSE Maths book is not an O Level Maths book, and an IB Maths course is one of four choices: analysis or applications, at standard or higher level. We teach the one the school entered. We do not complete an internal assessment for the student. The student keeps authorship of that work. We can help them understand the criteria and plan their time.
Grade 6 is the first year on our pages. British Year 7 usually matches it. If your child is still in Year 6, we will say so rather than book a lesson we do not offer. Older students bring the exam course they are actually sitting. A Level is not the IB Diploma, even in the same grades, and we will point you to the right page if the first message uses the wrong name.
Doha's clock
Qatar is UTC+3, with Riyadh and Manama, and one hour behind Dubai. A lesson at 4:30 pm in Doha is 5:30 pm in Dubai and 4:30 pm in Kuwait City. There is no seasonal clock change to remember. Tell us the hour as Doha time. If a parent is calling from the office and the student is at home, the student's city is the one we write down.
The diagnostic lasts about 20 minutes and costs nothing. It is the right place to say that the school has changed course, or that you are not sure whether the paper is Cambridge or Pearson. We would rather wait for the book than guess. A paid lesson follows only if you want it, and the invoice is sent before that hour is reserved.
Riyal prices in Qatar
The two prices are QAR 50 for an expert teacher and QAR 98 for the Head of Academy, each for one lesson with one student. They are the published Qatar amounts for the same two lessons as AED 50 and AED 99. The diagnostic is free.
The note after class is short on purpose. It says what you covered, whether the practice was done, and what to do next. Read it the same evening if you can. It will not tell you a predicted grade, because that is not something we write.
Questions from families here
Those districts tell us you are in greater Doha. The lesson is online, on Qatar time, and your child joins from home.
QAR 50 a lesson with an expert teacher, or QAR 98 a lesson with the Head of Academy. Both are one to one. The opening conversation is free.
Send a photo of the book cover on the diagnostic. We teach the course printed there, and we will not choose a neighbouring book to fill the silence.
Doha is UTC+3 and Dubai is UTC+4. We confirm every lesson in Doha local time so the reminder matches your clock.
