How the diagnostic works
A free 20-minute call before any paid lesson. What to send, what we ask, and what is agreed afterwards.

From Grade 6 to the exam years
How middle school differs from IGCSE, O Level, A Level and the IB Diploma, and how Grade and Year labels are matched.
These notes are for parents deciding how online lessons fit a school week. One explains the free diagnostic: what to have ready, what we ask, and what is agreed before any paid hour. One explains the short note you receive after a lesson, so you know how to use the practice. One explains the difference between Grade 6 and the later exam courses, including why British Year 6 is not the same as Grade 6, and why IGCSE and A Level are not taught as if they began in the middle years.
The guides are in English, Arabic and Bahasa Indonesia. The lesson they describe is in English. They do not report a student's result, and they do not stand in for the book your child is using. If a sentence here helps, the next step is the booking page, with the school, the grade and the chapter. An expert teacher is AED 50 a lesson. The Head of Academy is AED 99. The diagnostic those guides describe is free.
Read the diagnostic note if you have never booked. Read the progress note if you want to know what arrives after an hour. Read the Grade 6 note if you are trying to match a British year number to the course in the bag. Then use the booking page. The guides are there so the first WhatsApp message can be short and specific.
After the three guides, the booking page is enough. You do not need to summarise them in the WhatsApp note. The school, the grade and the chapter are the useful lines.
