How a lesson works
The lesson is a one-to-one video call in English. We do not visit the home. The diagnostic is free and lasts 20 minutes. A paid lesson is AED 50 with an expert teacher or AED 99 with the Head of Academy, with the local amount on the pricing page. Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Muscat use UTC+4. Riyadh, Manama, Doha and Kuwait City use UTC+3. Jakarta and Surabaya use UTC+7, and Bali uses UTC+8. We confirm the hour in your time. IGCSE and A Level follow the exam course. They do not start in Grade 6.
Kuala Lumpur, four hours ahead of Dubai
Malaysia families who write to us are usually in international schools in and around Kuala Lumpur, on IGCSE, O Level, A Level or the IB Diploma, or in the middle years of an English-medium book from Grade 6. We follow that book. We do not rename a Malaysian school course as a Cambridge paper, and we do not claim the national syllabus chapter by chapter. If the book is the school's own, send the chapter. IGCSE and O Level remain separate. Grade 6 is the youngest year we publish. British Year 6 is earlier than that offer.
Kuala Lumpur is UTC+8, four hours ahead of Dubai and one hour ahead of Jakarta. It shares the hour with Singapore and Bali. A 7 pm lesson in Kuala Lumpur is 3 pm in Dubai. The Kuala Lumpur page is the city page. Families elsewhere in the country use the same Malaysia time unless they tell us otherwise. The diagnostic is free. Ringgit prices are MYR 55 for an expert teacher and MYR 110 for the Head of Academy, one to one. Lessons and replies are in English. The site can be read in Bahasa Indonesia. That is not the language of the lesson.
The city page is Kuala Lumpur, and other families in Malaysia book on Malaysia time, UTC+8. The lesson is online.
MYR 55 with an expert teacher and MYR 110 with the Head of Academy, per one-to-one lesson. The diagnostic is free.
Kuala Lumpur is four hours ahead of Dubai and one hour ahead of Jakarta. We repeat the hour in Malaysia time before anything is booked.
Only if it is IGCSE. If it is the school's own course, send the chapter and we will teach that.
