How a lesson works
The lesson is a one-to-one video call in English. We do not visit the home. The diagnostic is free and lasts 20 minutes. A paid lesson is AED 50 with an expert teacher or AED 99 with the Head of Academy, with the local amount on the pricing page. Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Muscat use UTC+4. Riyadh, Manama, Doha and Kuwait City use UTC+3. Jakarta and Surabaya use UTC+7, and Bali uses UTC+8. We confirm the hour in your time. IGCSE and A Level follow the exam course. They do not start in Grade 6.
Jakarta, Bali, and two clocks
Indonesia is on this site in Bahasa Indonesia as well as English and Arabic. The lessons and the WhatsApp replies stay in English. Families who write are usually at international schools, on IGCSE, O Level, A Level or the IB Diploma, or in Grades 6 to 8 of an English-medium book. We follow that book. We do not treat the national curriculum and a Cambridge course as the same thing. If the school uses its own English-medium chapters, send the page. Grade 6 is the start. Exam courses are not Grade 6 courses.
Jakarta and Surabaya use WIB, UTC+7. Bali uses WITA, UTC+8. A 7 pm lesson in Jakarta is 4 pm in Dubai and 8 pm in Bali. Booking both islands on one clock is how families miss the hour. Each place has a page: Jakarta and Bali. A search for guru les terdekat or les privat terdekat is answered with a video call, not a visit to Kemang or Canggu. The diagnostic is free. Rupiah prices are Rp246.000 for an expert teacher and Rp488.000 for the Head of Academy, one to one, in both places.
Use the language switcher. Live lessons and WhatsApp replies remain in English, including for families in Jakarta and Bali.
